or, How We Got Started

I've been doing leather work for all my adult life. I learned from my father, who learned while he was in the US Air Force before i was born. After my father passed, i inherited all his tools and patterns. It is bitter sweet to use his tools today. I remember fondly learning to use each tool, and how he insisted that i master each tool. His love of leather work was passed down to me in this way. I learner doing the classic "Sheridan" style of tooling, but have expanded to include patterns and tooling not normally seen in classic leather tooling.
